X-Factor voice man to do Num-Num trailer!!

Well, not exactly, but Simon Butterworth, a Peter Dickson (X-Factor voice man) impersonator has agreed to do the narration for the Num-Num trailer. Below is an updated version of the Num-Num animatic with his voiceover on it, with music from Kevin McLeod:

Simon Butterworth was also an X-Factor contestant famous for his rendition of Adele's 'Someone like you' in the voice of Peter Dickson. His audition video can be seen below:

Food Photo Textures

In order to gain some realistic references for the foods in my animation, I purchased each item from a supermarket and took some close up photos using the macro function on my digital camera. These will subsequently be overlayed with some hand-painted textures and then digitally painted over to create a texture that has both a painterly feel but still holds up some realism to the item it portrays.

Num-Num's Eyes

In order to heighten emotion, Num-Num's eyes will dilate when in excitement, and will become very narrow and thin when upset or angry. This improvement comes from observing the eyes of Toothless in Dreamwork's How to Train your Dragon.
